Gamers of Sutton Coldfield are invited to recharge and relax at The Gracechurch Centre’s first retro video gaming bar, LVL:1.
The unique venue, which opened at Christmas, hosts an array of old school consoles and games, with classics such as Mario Kart, Golden Eye and Streetfighter, to name a few.
There are pool tables, a special area dedicated to the popular game Call of Duty, and at weekends DJs play a mixture of beats to compliment the atmosphere.
The new hotspot boasts a trendy interior with graffiti street art, corrugated iron décor and comfortable gaming booths, as well as a fully stocked bar and snacks to keep gamers refreshed.
Angela Henderson, centre manager, said:
“We’re thrilled to welcome LVL:1 to The Gracechurch Centre! It’s something so unusual and unlike any other venue in the area, it has already been a huge hit.
“Whether you’re an avid or first-time gamer, LVL:1 is a cool place to have a drink, relax and catch up with friends in a laidback environment.”
Jamie Conrad, manager, said:
“LVL:1 (Level One) is a haven for sports lovers, pool sharks and gamers. Dimly lit by spotlights and hanging lamps, the interior is a mix of modern, reclaimed and industrial. We have 4 pool tables, various video gaming booths (retro and modern) and a VIP gaming projector room.
“LVL:1 is the ideal hangout for after work and perfect destination for chilling out at the weekend.”
Located on the Parade next to Boots and The Body Shop, LVL:1 are open from 8pm – late on Thursday, 5.30pm – late on Friday, and midday – late on Saturday and Sunday.
