The Network West Midlands’ Park and Ride car park at Sutton Coldfield railway station is to be resurfaced resulting in reduced spaces between 19th February and 3rd March 2018.
The car park, which is accessed via Railway Road, will also be fully closed to vehicles on 4th March.
Part of ongoing improvements to their car parks, NWM have identified the Sutton Coldfield Park and Ride as in need of resurfacing work if it is to remain fit for purpose.
Sutton Coldfield station will remain open during the works. Pedestrian access will remain open via the car park entrance on Railway Road during the work from 19th February to 3rd March. However, on 4th March there will be no pedestrian access via the car park entrance on Railway Road. Pedestrian access via the rail station entrance will remain open for the whole of the project.
The following schedule has been confirmed by Network West Midlands (weather permitting) with the caveat that some short notice changes to the project dates may occur as the work progresses.
Week commencing 19th February there will be no parking in Area 1. 200 spaces will be unavailable.
Week commencing 26th February there will be no parking in Area 2. 120 spaces will be unavailable.
On Sunday 4th March there will be a full closure. No access. No spaces available.
The whole of the car park will be closed on Sunday 4th March and there will be no parking available.
Network West Midlands are asking anyone using the car park during the resurfacing work to not leave their car overnight from Sunday 18th February to Sunday 4th March inclusive.
