Nationally acclaimed Folk group, Inlay, is heading to Sutton Coldfield on Saturday 20th October. In a 7.30pm concert at central Sutton Coldfield’s Holy Trinity Parish Church (off Mill Street), they are aiming to show people what TimeOut magazine called “Touching and rather beautiful modern Folk”. Joining the band will be their new 4th member – Will Pound. Like the rest of the band, Will has a strong pedigree in Folk, having been nominated three times for the prestigious BBC Radio 2 Folk Awards.
With the aid of fiddle, guitar, harmonica, accordion and melodeon, Inlay blend traditional material with self-penned compositions. Making the night at the 700 year old church even more atmospheric, cider and ale will be there to quench all thirsts!
Tickets for the concert are available securely online now at htsc.org.uk or in person at the Trinity Centre (Tel: 0121 321 1144)
Presenting the concert is the Friends of Holy Trinity Parish Church. They recently celebrated their 5th anniversary with over 30 concerts and events held, and over £50,000 raised.
Their chair, Nick Revell, commented:
“The opening up of Holy Trinity through these successful concerts and events is something we’re very proud of. We have a fabulous re-ordered building which is once again the ‘beating heart’ of Sutton Coldfield. Funding through the Heritage Lottery Fund has also enabled the church to have regular open days so that hidden gems like the tomb of Bishop Vesey can be explored.”
