The name of the teenager fatally stabbed in Sutton Coldfield on Thursday (17th May) has now been formally released by West Midlands Police as Ozell Pemberton.
A post mortem examination revealed Ozell died from a stab wound to the chest.
Late last night officers arrested a second man on suspicion of murder. The 21-year-old from Erdington is being held in custody, where he is being questioned by police.
A teenager arrested on Friday morning remains in custody after officers were granted extra time to question him by the court.
West Midlands Police Detective Chief Inspector Edward Foster, from the force`s Homicide team, said:
“Our investigation is progressing at speed: we have seized and are examining many hours of CCTV footage and the scene of the stabbing has been forensically examined.
“Clearly the arrests are a significant step forward in our investigation but we now believe another two people were involved. I would ask them to do the right thing, and hand themselves in to police. It is only a matter of time before we come knocking at your door.
“We know several people were seen fleeing the area after the disorder and are still appealing for witnesses or anyone who was in the area at the time to get in touch.
“If anyone has photos or mobile phone footage of the incident they may have captured vital evidence so I’d urge them to contact us.”
Anyone with information is asked to call West Midlands Police on 101 or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
