Sutton Coldfield MP Andrew Mitchell will form part of a panel to discuss and take questions on human rights around the globe.
Organised by Sutton Coldfield Amnesty International group, Mr Mitchell will share the podium with James Lovatt, who is a Board Member for Amnesty International UK.
The panel will discuss human rights and take questions from the audience during the 75-minute event on July 19.
Taking place at the Church Hall, Holy Trinity RC Church, 69 Lichfield Road, Sutton Coldfield, B74 2NU between 7.15-8.30pm, the event is open to all and free to attend.
Sutton Coldfield Amnesty International chairman Andrew Hindle said:
“This is a great opportunity for people to come along and find out more about what our government is doing to campaign for human rights across the world.
“We would love to have a huge crowd with lots of interesting questions to ensure a lively debate.”
Amnesty International is a worldwide group which campaigns to free prisoners of conscience and to highlight human rights abuses.
